Residential Solar, Battery and Off-Grid Power Systems
Reliable Power Designed Around Your Home
MyEnergy Engineering designs and installs residential solar, battery storage and off-grid power systems for homes across South Australia, Victoria and remote locations throughout Australia.
Whether you want to reduce your reliance on the grid, add backup power or build a home where grid connection is unavailable, we design the system around how your household actually uses power. Every project considers your current loads, future plans, site conditions and the level of backup or independence you require.
Grid-Connected Solar and Battery Storage
A well-designed grid-connected system can lower electricity costs, store excess solar energy and provide backup during outages. We assess your electricity usage, roof or ground space, available supply and the appliances you want supported before recommending a system.
Residential solutions can include solar PV, battery storage, hybrid inverters, backup circuits, energy monitoring and EV charging. Systems can also be designed with room to expand as household demand changes.
For homes with an existing solar system, we can review the current installation and determine whether battery storage can be added or whether an upgrade would provide a better long-term result.
Residential Off-Grid Power Systems
Off-grid power requires more than selecting an inverter and battery. The complete system must reliably support the home through changing weather, seasonal energy use and periods of high demand.
MyEnergy Engineering has delivered stand-alone power systems since 2010. We design residential off-grid systems using solar generation, battery storage and generator backup where required. Each system is sized from the expected household loads and usage patterns rather than a standard package.
We can provide complete systems for new homes, rural properties, remote residences, holiday homes and sites where extending the grid is impractical or too costly.
Designed for Everyday Household Loads
A residential power system needs to support the way the home will be used. This may include electric cooking, hot water, heating and cooling, water pumps, sheds, workshops, pools and electric vehicle charging.
Our design process reviews both daily energy consumption and the peak load created when multiple appliances operate at the same time. This helps ensure the inverter, battery and solar array work together as a complete system without unnecessary limitations.
Where future additions are planned, we can allow for increased loads, additional battery capacity or more solar generation.
Ground-Mount and Roof-Mount Solar
Not every property has suitable roof space or orientation. For rural and larger residential sites, ground-mounted solar can provide greater flexibility in array size, position and access.
We design and install both roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar arrays, selecting the arrangement that best suits the property, available space and system requirements.
Why Choose MyEnergy Engineering?
MyEnergy Engineering has designed and installed residential, commercial and remote power systems since 2010. Our systems are engineered, supplied and installed by our in-house team, with ongoing support available after commissioning.
We are a long-term Victron Energy distributor and service agent and work with proven solar, battery and power conversion equipment selected to suit the application. Our experience ranges from residential homes to large remote power projects across Australia and the South Pacific.
The result is a power system built around reliability, practical operation and the needs of your property.
Generator Integration and Backup Power
For off-grid homes, a generator provides another layer of reliability during extended poor weather or unusually high energy use. We can integrate automatic generator starting, battery charging and system monitoring so the generator operates only when required.
For grid-connected homes, battery backup can be configured to maintain selected essential circuits or a broader range of household loads during a grid outage, depending on the system design and available capacity.
Monitoring, Support and Future Upgrades
Remote monitoring provides visibility of solar production, battery charge, energy use and system performance. It also allows our team to assist with fault finding and ongoing support when required.
As household needs change, we can assess upgrades such as additional batteries, more solar, increased inverter capacity, generator integration or EV charging. Starting with a properly planned system makes future expansion more practical.
