Power Systems Built Around the Operation

Every remote site has different priorities. Some need to reduce generator runtime and fuel deliveries. Others need dependable power for critical plant, accommodation, communications, pumping or security infrastructure.

We assess the complete operating profile before developing a solution, including:

  • Current and forecast electrical loads
  • Starting currents and large plant requirements
  • Critical and non-critical circuits
  • Solar resource and available installation area
  • Battery autonomy and site operating hours
  • Existing generators and electrical infrastructure
  • Fuel storage, delivery costs and generator servicing
  • Site access, transport and construction constraints
  • Remote monitoring and control requirements
  • Redundancy and future expansion

The result is a practical system designed for the way the site actually operates.

Our Mining and Remote Power Solutions

Standalone Power Systems

Complete off-grid systems combining solar generation, battery storage and generator backup. These systems can support anything from small telemetry installations to workshops, camps and large operational facilities.

Hybrid Solar, Battery and Generator Systems

Hybrid systems use solar and stored energy as the primary supply, with generators available when additional capacity or backup is required. Correctly designed controls can substantially reduce generator runtime, fuel consumption, servicing and unnecessary light-load operation.

Containerised Power Systems

Pre-engineered and project-specific containerised systems can combine inverters, batteries, switchboards, controls and communications in a transportable format. This reduces site construction, simplifies deployment and allows much of the system to be assembled and tested before delivery.

Power System Upgrades

We can assess and upgrade existing remote systems where load growth, ageing equipment or poor system performance has created reliability issues. This may include additional solar, increased battery capacity, generator integration, inverter upgrades, new controls or complete system replacement.

Remote Monitoring and Communications

Remote access provides visibility over energy production, battery state, generator operation, alarms and site loads. This allows problems to be identified earlier and can reduce unnecessary travel to isolated sites.

Grid Support and Microgrids

For sites with weak or restricted grid connections, we can develop solar and battery systems that support local loads, manage demand and provide greater control over how the site uses grid and generator power.

Applications

Our systems can be designed for:

  • Mine sites and processing facilities
  • Exploration camps and temporary operations
  • Remote accommodation and administration buildings
  • Workshops, sheds and maintenance facilities
  • Bore pumps and water treatment systems
  • Communications and telemetry sites
  • Security, surveillance and monitoring equipment
  • Remote airstrips and transport infrastructure
  • Agricultural and pastoral operations supporting mining regions
  • Island and South Pacific infrastructure

Designed for Remote Conditions

A remote power system needs to remain serviceable long after commissioning. Our designs prioritise proven equipment, clear system architecture, sensible redundancy and components that can be supported in the field.

Depending on the project, we can incorporate:

  • N+1 or staged redundancy for critical equipment
  • Multiple inverter and charger configurations
  • AC- and DC-coupled solar generation
  • Lithium battery storage sized for the required autonomy
  • Automatic generator start, synchronisation and load control
  • Load shedding and critical-load separation
  • Black-start and recovery strategies
  • Remote alarms, reporting and system access
  • Modular equipment for future expansion
  • Skid-mounted, cabinet or containerised construction

We also consider heat, dust, humidity, salt exposure, ventilation, transport and restricted access when selecting equipment and developing the system layout.

From Early Design Through to Ongoing Support

MyEnergy can manage the complete project scope, including:

  1. Site and load assessment – Review operating requirements, interval data, generator records and future loads.
  2. System engineering – Develop the system architecture, equipment selections, protection, controls and expansion pathway.
  3. Commercial modelling – Compare capital cost, generator runtime, fuel use, servicing and expected operating savings.
  4. Prefabrication and testing – Assemble and test cabinets, skids or containerised systems before transport where practical.
  5. Installation and commissioning – Complete site works using our in-house electrical and installation teams.
  6. Monitoring and support – Provide remote visibility, fault support, servicing and system expansion as site requirements change.

We can work directly with mine operators, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, builders and infrastructure providers.

Why MyEnergy

Proven Remote Power Capability

MyEnergy Engineering has delivered off-grid and hybrid power systems across Australia and the South Pacific since 2010. Our experience includes residential systems, agricultural operations, remote tourism, industrial sites and large-scale infrastructure.

Complete In-House Delivery

Design, cabinet construction, electrical installation, commissioning and ongoing support are handled by our own team. This provides clear responsibility from initial design through to operation.

Systems That Can Grow

Remote sites rarely remain static. We design with realistic allowances for additional accommodation, machinery, pumping, processing or other future loads, giving the system a clear pathway for expansion.

Generator Integration Experience

Generators remain an important part of many remote systems. We design the solar, battery, generator and controls as one operating system, with attention to starting, transfer, charging, loading and recovery behaviour.

Long-Term Product Support

We select equipment based on reliability, compatibility and ongoing support. MyEnergy is a long-standing Victron Energy distributor and service agent, with experience across a broad range of commercial battery, inverter, solar and generator platforms.

Project Experience

Our completed work includes award-winning standalone and hybrid systems for remote stations, robotic dairy operations and island infrastructure. Projects have ranged from compact power cabinets through to large hybrid systems combining extensive solar arrays, battery storage and multiple generators.

This experience allows us to approach each project as a complete power-engineering challenge, not simply a solar installation.
