Residential Off Grid Power in Redbank, Victoria.
Redbank, located in regional Victoria, is home to rural and remote homes and farms where connecting to mains electricity isn’t always an option. For a new home being built beyond the grid, reliable power needs to be planned from the ground up.
Powering a New Home Beyond the Grid
For this remote Redbank property, the owners were building a new home with no existing grid connection. They needed a complete off grid power system designed around the household’s requirements and the realities of living beyond the grid.
A ground-mounted solar array provided the flexibility to position the panels to suit the property, while a vermin and weatherproof cabinet protects the key power equipment from rural conditions.
An Off Grid Power System Built for Redbank
With more than 15 years delivering off grid and remote power systems across Australia, MyEnergy planned and designed the complete system around the requirements of the new home. The power system was prebuilt and tested at the MyEnergy HQ workshop before being transported to Redbank, reducing on-site work and streamlining the final installation.
Once on site, our experienced in-house team handled the complete ground mount solar installation, from pile driving and mounting through to panel installation and commissioning. The finished system combines 13.3kW of AIKO solar panels, a Victron Multi-Plus-II 15kVA inverter and 30.72kWh of ZYC Energy battery storage, with the main power system housed in a vermin and weatherproof protective cabinet.

Reliable Off Grid Power for a New Remote Home
The result is a complete off grid power system built around the new home from day one. With solar generation, battery storage and the capacity required for everyday living, the owners can establish their home without relying on a future grid connection.
For remote new builds like Redbank, planning power early means the system can be designed as part of the property from the outset, providing reliable power now with the flexibility to support the home into the future.
