Complete power system engineering

A reliable power system depends on more than selecting an inverter and battery. The generation, storage, distribution, protection, controls and backup supply must work together under normal operation, peak demand and fault conditions.

Our engineering process considers the complete system, including:

  • Existing and future site loads
  • Continuous demand, peak loads and motor starting requirements
  • Solar generation and seasonal conditions
  • Battery capacity, operating range and required autonomy
  • Inverter and charger capacity
  • Generator sizing, synchronisation and automatic control
  • AC- and DC-coupled system architecture
  • Load management and critical-load separation
  • Electrical protection, isolation and distribution
  • Communications, monitoring and alarms
  • Redundancy, black-start and system recovery
  • Equipment layout, ventilation and environmental conditions
  • Transport, installation and site access constraints
  • Staged expansion and future upgrades

Our design and engineering services

Depending on the project, our scope may include:

  • Load analysis and energy modelling
  • System architecture and equipment selection
  • Solar array and battery storage sizing
  • Inverter, charger and generator sizing
  • Single-line diagrams
  • Cable sizing and voltage-drop calculations
  • Protection and fault-current assessment
  • Switchboard and distribution design
  • Control philosophy and operating sequences
  • Generator and automatic transfer integration
  • Equipment layouts and cabinet design
  • Communications and remote-monitoring design
  • Technical specifications and equipment schedules
  • Design documentation for construction and commissioning
  • Review of existing systems and proposed upgrades

Designed to be built and supported

Our systems are engineered with installation, commissioning and long-term service in mind. Equipment is selected based on compatibility, availability, operating environment and the ability to support it after the project is complete.

Where practical, systems can be assembled into prebuilt cabinets, skids or containers and tested before delivery. This reduces work in remote locations and helps identify integration issues before the equipment reaches site.

From detailed design through to commissioning

MyEnergy can provide engineering as a standalone service or as part of a complete project covering equipment supply, system construction, installation, commissioning and ongoing support.

Keeping system design connected to delivery ensures the final installation reflects the engineering intent and performs as required on site.

Experience across demanding applications

Since 2010, MyEnergy has designed and delivered power systems across Australia and the South Pacific for residential, agricultural, commercial, industrial, tourism, mining and remote infrastructure applications.

Our experience ranges from compact standalone systems through to large hybrid systems combining solar, battery storage, multiple inverters and generators.
