Replace Continuous Diesel Generation with Solar & Battery
Reduce diesel consumption and generator runtime with an off-grid solar and battery system designed around your site's actual power requirements.
MyEnergy designs and installs diesel replacement power systems for farms, stations, commercial and remote sites across Australia, integrating solar, battery storage and existing generators into one reliable power system.

How Diesel Replacement Works
For most remote sites, diesel replacement doesn't mean removing the generator completely. Instead, solar and battery storage become the primary power source, with the generator retained for backup.
During the day, solar supplies the site and charges the batteries. Stored energy then carries the loads overnight and through periods of lower solar production.
When additional power is required, the generator can automatically start, support the loads and recharge the batteries before shutting down again.
This can turn a continuously running generator into a backup power source.
Reduce Generator Runtime and Fuel Consumption
Running a generator 24/7 means more than paying for diesel. Fuel transport, servicing, oil and filters, repairs and eventual engine replacement all contribute to the cost of generating power.
Reducing generator runtime can significantly reduce:
- Diesel consumption
- Generator operating hours
- Servicing and maintenance
- Fuel deliveries and storage requirements
- Generator wear and replacement costs
For remote properties, reducing the need to transport fuel to site can provide an additional operational benefit.
Designed Around Your Existing Power System
Every site operates differently.
We assess the site's generator size, fuel consumption, operating hours, electrical loads, peak demand and seasonal energy requirements before designing the system.
Where suitable, the existing generator can remain in place and be integrated with the new solar and battery system.
This allows existing infrastructure to continue providing backup while substantially reducing the amount of time the generator needs to operate.
Automatic Generator Integration
The generator becomes part of the overall off-grid power system rather than the primary source of electricity.
System controls can automatically start the generator when battery levels are low, electrical demand is high or additional charging capacity is required.
Once conditions return to normal, the generator shuts down and the site returns to solar and battery power.
Diesel Replacement for Remote Australian Operations
MyEnergy designs diesel replacement and hybrid off-grid systems for:
Agriculture & Stations
Remote farms, cattle stations, dairies, piggeries, sheds and agricultural infrastructure.
Mining & Remote Industry
Exploration camps, workshops, processing equipment and remote industrial operations.
Commercial & Accommodation
Remote businesses, accommodation facilities, resorts and commercial properties.
Pumping & Infrastructure
Water pumping, bore systems, telecommunications and other remote infrastructure.
Remote Monitoring
Remote monitoring provides visibility over solar generation, battery state of charge, site consumption and generator operation.
Generator runtime and system performance can be monitored remotely, making it easier to manage power systems located hundreds or thousands of kilometres away.
Built for Remote Power
MyEnergy has been designing and installing off-grid and remote power systems since 2010.
From upgrading an existing generator-powered property to designing a complete containerised power system, we manage the system design, solar, batteries, generator integration, installation, commissioning and ongoing support.
Reduce Your Reliance on Diesel
If you're currently running a generator continuously, we can assess your existing power requirements and determine how solar and battery storage can reduce generator runtime and fuel consumption.
