01 / Understand the model

Your roof. Your energy use.
A different way to go solar.

A Power Purchase Agreement lets your business purchase electricity generated by a solar system on your premises, rather than purchase the system outright.

MyEnergy assesses the complete project: your electricity demand, available space, electrical infrastructure and commercial requirements. Your proposal sets out the rate, agreement term, system ownership and ongoing responsibilities.

Any upfront costs and ongoing charges are confirmed in the proposal.

02 / Why consider a PPA?

Keep the focus on your business.

Manage upfront capital

Explore an energy purchase structure as an alternative to buying the solar equipment outright.

Make more of on-site solar

Assess how solar generation aligns with operating hours, daytime loads and the way your business uses electricity.

Plan for ongoing support

Understand who is responsible for installation, monitoring, maintenance and support before the project proceeds.

03 / From assessment to operation

A clear path from the first conversation.

  1. 01

    Assess your site

We review electricity bills, consumption patterns, available space and site requirements.

  2. 02

    Review your proposal

Compare the design, proposed rate, estimated savings, assumptions and agreement terms.

  3. 03

    Install and commission

Once the project is agreed, we manage the system installation and commissioning.

  4. 04

    Monitor and support

Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and support follow the responsibilities in your agreement.

04 / A proposal based on evidence

Start with your site.
Then look at the numbers.

Bring a recent electricity bill and tell us how your business operates.

  • Electricity consumption and current tariffs
  • Operating hours and major electrical loads
  • Available roof or ground space
  • Site access, electrical requirements and future plans

Estimated savings depend on the proposed design, tariffs, assumptions and actual energy use. There is no standard saving that applies to every business.

What to review in your proposal

Energy rate & adjustments
The proposed electricity price, any rate changes and other charges.
Agreement term & ownership
The duration of the agreement and who owns the system.
Installation & operation
The scope of work and responsibilities for running the system.
Maintenance & support
Who monitors performance, maintains equipment and provides support.
05 / Your questions

Know what you’re
agreeing to.

Every site is different. We explain the proposed structure so you can assess whether a PPA fits your business.

Is a PPA the same as buying a solar system?
No. With a PPA, your business purchases electricity generated by the system under an agreement. An outright purchase involves buying the equipment. The proposed ownership structure is set out in your PPA proposal.
How much could my business save?
That depends on your consumption, current tariffs, site conditions, system design and the proposed PPA rate. We assess those inputs and explain the assumptions behind any estimated savings.
Who maintains the system?
Installation, operation, monitoring, maintenance and support responsibilities are documented in the agreement. Review these as part of your proposal.
What do I need for an initial assessment?
A recent electricity bill, the site location and an outline of your operating hours and major loads are a useful starting point. MyEnergy will identify any additional information needed.
