Solar Pumping Solution for Springhill Vineyards, South Australia.
Springhill Vineyards is located in Macclesfield, South Australia, where the region’s climate and soils are well suited to viticulture, with reliable water access playing a key role in maintaining vine health and crop quality. Water pumping is critical for irrigation and vineyard management, particularly during warmer periods when consistent supply is essential to support grape production and overall vineyard performance.
Grid Connected Solar Pumping Requirements
Springhill Vineyards were reaching the limits of their existing grid supply as operational demands increased. The property required a solution to support continuous water pumping across two separate sites, each with its own grid connection and operating requirements. As the pumping locations operate independently and are separated by distance, a single centralised system was not suitable.
Scalable Solar Pumping Systems
MyEnergy designed two grid connected solar pumping systems, each tailored to its specific pumping load and site conditions. Both systems were engineered to operate alongside the grid, ensuring water pumping remains uninterrupted with adequate battery storage.
At Pumping Site 1, the system includes 70 JA Solar panels installed on an S-Rack ground mount system, paired with a 25kW Deye high voltage three phase hybrid inverter and a 60kWh Deye high voltage battery cabinet.
Pumping Site 2 was designed to accommodate higher water demand, with 140 JA Solar panels mounted on an S-Rack ground mount system. The system is powered by a 50kW Deye high voltage three phase hybrid inverter and supported by a 60kWh Deye high voltage battery cabinet.
All S-Rack ground mount systems were installed using a GAYK pile driving machine by MyEnergy’s in-house team, allowing accurate post placement and an efficient, well-aligned installation across both pumping sites.
