Lake Eppalock Holiday Park, a serene getaway on the shores of Lake Eppalock in central Victoria, is a favourite destination for visitors seeking nature, outdoor adventures, and water sports. As the park expanded to meet growing demand, newly built cabins were added to accommodate more guests. However, the park's grid connection was already maxed out, leaving no capacity to power these new facilities. A solution was needed to ensure the park could continue operating efficiently while providing guests with a comfortable and seamless experience.

Maxed-Out Grid Capacity

With the addition of new cabins, the park faced a critical issue: its existing grid connection couldn't handle the increased energy demand. From powering essential services to running pool pumps, kiosks, and guest facilities, the park needed a reliable system to bridge the gap. The solution had to provide dependable power for the current setup and allow for future growth as the park continued to expand.

A Flexible Off-Grid Power System Solution

To solve the park's power constraints, the MyEnergy team designed and installed a custom off-grid power system. The installation includes 14.08kW of Trina Vertex solar panels roof mounted on site, generating reliable daytime power for the park. A Deye 15kW three-phase high-voltage hybrid inverter manages the system and distributes power across the site.

Energy is stored in 38kWh of Pylontech battery storage to support power use overnight and during periods of low solar production, while generator backup provides additional reliability when required.

Designed with future growth in mind, the system can be expanded as the park develops, ensuring dependable off-grid power systems for accommodation, facilities, and ongoing operations.
