Burraboi, located in the Riverina region of New South Wales, plays an important role in Australia’s agricultural industry, supporting large-scale grain storage, handling, and seasonal farming operations. The AG Store in Burraboi operates as a major bulk grain storage and warehousing facility, servicing surrounding farms and agribusiness operations throughout the region. Located in a rural off-grid area, the property relies entirely on its own power infrastructure to support daily operations. With constant activity across grain delivery, storage and container handling, dependable power is critical to daily operations at the site.
Growing Off Grid Power Demands
At this property the owners required a dependable off grid commercial power system capable of supporting the operational demands of the AG Store. The site already utilised an existing HIMOINSA generator, however increasing operational requirements called for a larger and more capable system that could support daily operations more effectively.
The project also presented several installation challenges. Existing infrastructure on-site limited available roof space for solar installation, making a ground-mounted solar array essential. In addition, the entire off grid power system needed to be built into an existing air-conditioned shipping container already being used as a multi-purpose room onsite.
An Off Grid Commercial Power System Ready To Grow
MyEnergy delivered a customised off grid commercial power system designed specifically for the operational requirements of this busy agricultural site. The system combined large-scale solar generation, battery storage and generator integration to provide reliable power supply across the property while allowing flexibility for future growth.
With no available roof space for solar panels, MyEnergy’s team completed a custom ground-mounted solar installation using a Clenergy Ground Mount System. The project leveraged MyEnergy’s in-house capabilities, including our experienced installation team and GAYK pile driving machine, enabling the precise installation of the mounting structure.
The completed system features 18.8kW of Aiko Solar Panels paired with a 29.9kW Deye High Voltage Three Phase Hybrid Inverter, integrated with 51.2kWh of Deye BOS-G HV Battery Stack storage. This setup allows stored solar energy to support operations across varying load conditions and during periods of low solar production.
To ensure dependable backup capability, the new off grid commercial power system was also integrated with the site’s existing HIMOINSA generator, creating a complete hybrid power solution capable of supporting the property’s day-to-day operational requirements.
