Dutton, located in South Australia's Barossa region about 90 km northeast of Adelaide and close to the River Murray, is a historic rural community with strong agricultural roots. Established in 1866, the town is known for its distinctive stone buildings and traces of its 19th-century heritage.
Reliable Off-grid Power for a Dutton Property
The MyEnergy team recently installed an off grid power system in Dutton, featuring a 19.8kW solar panel array using Trina Vertex panels mounted on the shed roof to maximise available space and solar generation.
The custom built power system, housed within the shed, was designed and installed by our in house, award winning team of electricians. It includes a Fronius Primo 8.2-1 inverter working alongside a Victron Quattro 48/15000 inverter charger to manage energy supply and ensure consistent performance across the property. Solar input is optimised through a Victron SmartSolar MPPT RS 450/100, while a Victron Cerbo GX provides system monitoring and control, giving clear visibility over performance and usage.
Battery storage is delivered through 24kWh of Pylontech batteries, made up of five US5000 units secured in a Pylontech rack designed for straightforward expansion. This setup has the capacity to accommodate an additional five batteries, allowing the system to scale up easily if power requirements increase over time.
