When to Arrange a MyEnergy System Inspection

Arrange a MyEnergy system inspection if you notice:
  • Repeated alarms or system shutdowns
  • Batteries charging or discharging differently from normal
  • Reduced solar production
  • Frequent or unexpected generator starts
  • Unusual noise, heat or smells from equipment
  • Water, pest or vermin damage
  • Damaged panels, cabinets, cables or isolators
  • Monitoring data that appears incorrect
  • New appliances or electrical loads being added
  • Another contractor has changed the system

A routine inspection is also recommended every 12 months, particularly for off-grid, agricultural, commercial and remote systems.

Do not remove equipment covers or attempt internal repairs.

Prepare a clear inspection request

Describe what has changed, when you first noticed it and whether the property still has power. Include exact alarm messages and dated monitoring screenshots where available. Mention recent servicing, added appliances or work by another contractor so the team can understand the history before arranging the next step.

Provide the site address and contact person, and explain any access restrictions. Keep your handover documents and service records ready for the visit. If there is an immediate safety concern, such as smoke or exposed live wiring, move away from the equipment and seek urgent assistance instead of waiting for a routine inspection.
