What Information to Keep for Future Support

Keeping your system information together helps MyEnergy diagnose issues faster.

Please keep:

  • MyEnergy quote, invoice and job number
  • Installation and handover documents
  • Inverter, battery and generator model details
  • Equipment serial numbers
  • Monitoring platform and site ID
  • Generator service records
  • Photos of the system and equipment labels
  • Records of any system changes or new appliances

When requesting support, provide:

  • Site address
  • Current battery percentage
  • Fault or alarm code
  • Photos or screenshots
  • When the issue started
  • Whether the property still has power
  • Whether the generator is running
  • Any recent changes to the system, internet or appliances

Do not remove equipment covers to locate information. Only photograph labels that are safely visible.

Keep records current and easy to find

Use one clearly labelled folder for the property and keep dated copies of service reports, monitoring screenshots and correspondence. Record what changed and when, including added appliances, equipment replacements or internet changes. A short timeline can be especially helpful when an intermittent issue needs to be investigated later.

Make sure the appropriate owner or site manager knows where these records are kept. Store account credentials securely and separately from documents you may email for support. If the property changes hands, discuss the system information and monitoring access that need to be handed over with MyEnergy.
