Understanding the Victron Remote Management Portal

The Victron Remote Management portal, commonly called VRM, allows you to view your MyEnergy system from a computer, phone or tablet.

VRM receives information from the system’s GX monitoring device, such as a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, using the property’s internet connection.

What You Can View

Depending on your system, VRM may display:

  • Battery state of charge
  • Solar production
  • Current property power use
  • Generator operation
  • Grid power use
  • Battery charging and discharging
  • System alarms
  • Historical system performance

The dashboard provides an overview of where power is being produced, stored and used. Historical graphs can help identify changes in solar production, battery use and generator operation.

Alarms and Notifications

VRM can record system alarms and send notifications when certain faults or operating conditions occur.

These may include:

  • Low battery levels
  • Inverter or charger faults
  • Generator issues
  • Monitoring communication loss
  • Equipment alarms

An alarm does not always mean the complete system has stopped operating. Record the alarm code and provide it to MyEnergy if assistance is required.

Remote Access and Control

Some systems allow limited remote control or access through VRM. Available controls depend on the equipment, system configuration and user permissions.

Do not change inverter, battery, generator or system settings unless instructed by MyEnergy. Incorrect settings may affect system operation or warranty coverage.

When VRM Is Offline

If VRM shows the system as offline, the power system will normally continue operating locally.

Common causes include:

  • Internet outage
  • Router or modem switched off
  • Changed Wi-Fi name or password
  • New internet provider or router
  • Weak internet signal
  • GX monitoring device offline

Internet, router and Wi-Fi changes are not warranty issues. Remote support, call-out and travel charges may apply if MyEnergy is required to reconnect or reconfigure monitoring.

Need Support?

Contact MyEnergy if VRM remains offline, shows repeated alarms or displays information that appears different from normal.
