System Inspections

 Regular system inspections help identify faults, damage and maintenance requirements before they affect performance.

Battery Inspections

Check the battery area for:

  • Active alarms or warning lights
  • Dust, corrosion, swelling or damage
  • Loose or damaged visible cables
  • Water entry or signs of overheating
  • Blocked ventilation

Do not remove battery covers or disconnect cables.

Solar Panel Inspections

Inspect panels from a safe location for:

  • Dirt, leaves or bird droppings
  • Cracked or damaged panels
  • New shading from trees or structures
  • Loose mounting or visible cable damage
  • Unusually low solar production

Do not climb onto the roof unless suitably trained and equipped.

Pest and Vermin Checks

Inspect system areas for:

  • Rodent droppings or nesting
  • Insect activity
  • Chewed cables
  • Blocked vents
  • Damage around cabinets, conduits and switchboards

Contact MyEnergy if pests have entered electrical equipment or damaged wiring.

Cabinet Ventilation

Battery and inverter cabinets must remain clear and properly ventilated.

  • Do not cover ventilation openings.
  • Keep stored items away from equipment.
  • Remove dust and debris from around vents.
  • Keep the cabinet area dry and shaded.
  • Do not install heaters or other heat-producing equipment nearby.
