Manufacturer Warranty Versus Installation Warranty

Your MyEnergy system may be covered by both a manufacturer warranty and an installation warranty.

Manufacturer Warranty

The manufacturer warranty covers eligible faults with the equipment itself, such as:

  • Inverters
  • Batteries
  • Solar panels
  • Charge controllers
  • Monitoring equipment
  • Other supplied components

Warranty periods and conditions vary between brands and products.

MyEnergy can assist with testing the equipment and lodging an eligible warranty claim. The manufacturer may require fault codes, monitoring data, photographs or further testing before approving a repair or replacement.

Installation Warranty

The installation warranty covers faults caused by MyEnergy’s original installation work, such as:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Installation-related connection faults
  • Workmanship defects
  • Rectification where MyEnergy is responsible
What May Not Be Covered

Warranty normally does not cover:

  • Internet, router or Wi-Fi changes
  • Generator servicing, fuel or starter batteries
  • Damage caused by storms, flooding, fire or pests
  • Accidental or third-party damage
  • Equipment changed, relocated or repaired by others
  • Incorrect use or unauthorised setting changes
  • Normal maintenance and wear
  • Increased loads or new appliances added after installation

Call-out, travel and labour charges may apply where no warranty fault is found or the issue falls outside the applicable warranty.
