Low Solar Production Troubleshooting

Solar production will vary with weather, season, shading and time of day. Lower output does not always mean there is a fault.

• Check the time of day and current weather conditions.
• Confirm the batteries are not already full.
• Check whether property power use is low, as the system may reduce solar output when additional energy is not required.
• Look for shade, dirt, leaves or debris covering the panels.
• Check the monitoring platform for alarms or offline equipment.
• Confirm visible solar isolators have not been switched off.
• Compare production with previous days under similar conditions.

High panel temperatures can also reduce solar output, even on clear summer days.

Contact MyEnergy if:

• Production remains unusually low during clear conditions.
• One section of the solar system is producing significantly less than normal.
• A solar charger or inverter alarm appears.
• Solar production has stopped completely.
• There is visible damage to panels, cabling or mounting equipment.

Do not climb onto the roof, remove equipment covers or access electrical components.
