How an Off-Grid Power System Operates

Your off-grid system uses solar panels, batteries, an inverter and a backup generator to supply power to the property.

During the day, solar powers the property and charges the batteries.

At night or during poor weather, the batteries supply the property. The generator may start automatically if battery levels are low or power demand is high.

The system manages these power sources automatically.

To help maintain reliable operation:

  • Run larger loads during daylight hours.
  • Avoid using several high-demand appliances at once.
  • Keep the generator fuelled and serviced.
  • Check system monitoring regularly.

Contact MyEnergy if the system shuts down, the batteries are not charging or the generator does not start.
