Getting Started with Your MyEnergy Deye System
A practical first guide to daily operation, system limits and where to find help.
Applies to: MyEnergy customers with a Deye hybrid inverter or Deye all-in-one system. Features depend on the inverter, battery, wiring and software installed. Your site handover instructions take priority.
Do I need to switch anything each day?
Normally, no. Leave the system in the operating state shown at handover. You do not need to turn it off at night or switch between solar and battery power manually.
In a typical self-consumption setup, solar supplies your appliances and spare solar charges the battery. Stored energy can supply loads later. Grid import, export and charging depend on your approved settings. Co-Pilot or a charging schedule can change this pattern.
Your first checks
- Keep your handover pack, inverter and battery model details together.
- Check which circuits have backup power. A battery installation does not automatically provide whole-property backup.
- Confirm that you can see your property in the monitoring app supplied at handover.
- Find the shutdown label without operating any switches. Ask MyEnergy if it is missing or unclear.
- Confirm your agreed battery reserve and any generator arrangements.
A simple daily routine
Check the battery percentage, whether solar is producing in daylight and whether there are active alarms. Where practical, run flexible loads such as washing machines and pool pumps while solar is available. Stagger large appliances to keep demand within the system limits.
The inverter rating in kW tells you about power; battery capacity in kWh tells you about stored energy. Adding more battery capacity does not necessarily increase how many appliances can run at once.
Which settings should I leave alone?
Ask MyEnergy before changing battery type, charging limits, grid settings, export limits, generator controls or protection settings. Do not copy settings from another installation.
For smoke, fire, a strong burning smell or damaged electrical equipment, keep clear. Call 000 if there is immediate danger.
