Deye Cloud Offline or New Wi-Fi: What to Do

Check an offline connection and reconnect a supported Deye logger after changing your Wi-Fi.

An offline app does not by itself mean your solar or battery system has stopped. First check whether the property has power and whether the inverter display shows an alarm.

Check these first

  1. Check the app’s last update time and confirm you selected the right property.
  2. Test your home internet on another device.
  3. If the router is offline, restart the router using its normal procedure and allow it to reconnect.
  4. Consider recent changes: a new router, network name or password can disconnect the logger.

Do not restart the inverter or batteries just to fix an internet connection.

Reconnect a supported Deye Wi-Fi logger

Only use this procedure for Deye Cloud and a compatible Wi-Fi logger. Ethernet, mobile-data loggers and other monitoring platforms use different procedures.

  1. Stand near the equipment where it is safe to do so. Have your Wi-Fi name and password ready. Use a compatible 2.4 GHz network.
  2. Open your plant in Deye Cloud, then Device → Logger → Wi-Fi configuration. Wording may vary.
  3. Select your home Wi-Fi and enter its password.
  4. Follow the app prompts. Some loggers use Bluetooth; others ask you to connect temporarily to an AP network matching the logger serial number. Use the password printed on that logger.
  5. Return to Deye Cloud and wait for the success message. Reconnect your phone to its normal network and check for a fresh update.

Do not remove covers, unplug the logger, factory-reset it or delete the plant. Never send MyEnergy your Wi-Fi or account password.

Still offline?

Send a screenshot of the error and last update time, the logger model or a clear label photo, and details of the router change. Tell us whether the inverter is otherwise operating normally.
