Deye Alarms, Fault Messages and Safe Restart Guidance

Record the right information, make safe checks and know when a restart needs MyEnergy support.

A fault code is a starting point for diagnosis. The same symptom can have different causes across Deye models and system layouts. Do not use an online code list as an instruction to change wiring or settings.

First check for danger

If there is smoke, fire, a strong burning smell, sparking, water entering equipment or serious physical damage, keep people away. Call 000 if there is immediate danger. Do not touch wet or damaged equipment or attempt a restart.

If it is safe to check the display

  1. Photograph the full fault code and message before clearing anything.
  2. Record the date and time, battery percentage and whether the property has power.
  3. Note what happened immediately before the alarm: a blackout, large appliance starting, storm or generator change.
  4. Check whether the message is active now or only appears in the alarm history.
  5. If an overload followed a large appliance starting, turn off non-essential appliances using their normal controls.

Do not open covers, disconnect battery leads, move current sensors, test terminals or alter protection settings.

Should I restart the system?

Only use the shutdown and restart procedure provided for your specific installation, or steps given directly by MyEnergy. There is no universal switching order for all Deye systems: batteries, backup circuits, generators and additional solar inverters can change the procedure.

If your procedure is missing, unclear or does not match the equipment, contact us first. A restart can interrupt backup power. Do not repeatedly reset a breaker that trips, repeatedly cycle the batteries or factory-reset the inverter.

Send useful fault information

Include the inverter and battery models, display photos, recent monitoring screenshots and any recent changes. Take photos from a safe position. Do not send passwords or climb onto roofs to collect information.

Contact MyEnergy promptly if the property has no power, the alarm returns, a battery has shut down at low charge or equipment is damaged.
