Caring for Your Deye System and Preparing for Time Away
Routine customer checks, servicing and preparing your solar and battery system before leaving the property.
Your Deye system normally operates automatically, but the equipment area and operating condition still need regular attention. Follow the maintenance schedule supplied for your inverter, batteries and any generator.
Simple customer checks
- Check for active alarms and review the monitoring history.
- Keep access clear and maintain the ventilation clearances set at installation.
- Keep stored items, flammable materials and garden growth away from the equipment.
- Look from a safe distance for damage, leaks, pest activity or a build-up of dust around ventilation paths.
- Keep equipment labels readable and report missing or damaged labels.
Do not remove covers, spray or pressure-wash electrical equipment, insert tools into vents or climb onto the roof to clean panels. Ask MyEnergy to arrange any work needing access to electrical parts or work at height.
Arrange servicing for the site conditions
Deye maintenance requirements vary by model. Some manuals call for cooling fans and air paths to be cleaned at least twice a year, with much shorter intervals in dusty locations. Have MyEnergy confirm the appropriate schedule and who should perform the work. An annual visit may not be enough for a dusty or demanding site.
For off-grid installations, keep your annual MyEnergy system service scheduled, together with any more frequent equipment-specific maintenance. Retain service records with your handover documents.
Before leaving the property
- Confirm that monitoring is online and you can access it away from home.
- Check there are no active alarms and sufficient battery charge for essential loads.
- Turn off appliances that are not needed using their normal controls.
- Check generator fuel and service status where fitted, following its manual.
- Leave the system and generator in the operating modes agreed at handover.
- Give a trusted site contact the handover instructions and MyEnergy support details.
Do not shut the system down for an extended period without advice, particularly with a low battery. Ask MyEnergy about storage charging and a planned shutdown if the property will be unused.
Remote monitoring access does not by itself mean someone is watching the system continuously. Confirm any monitoring or response arrangement with MyEnergy.
