How Remote Monitoring Works
Remote monitoring allows MyEnergy and the customer to view system performance online.
Depending on the system, monitoring may show:
- Solar production
- Battery state of charge
- Property energy use
- Generator operation
- Grid import and export
- System alarms
The system requires an active internet connection to remain online.
If monitoring stops working after an internet provider, Wi-Fi password, modem or router change, the system may need to be reconfigured. Internet and router changes are not covered under warranty.
If a MyEnergy team member is required to attend site to reconnect or reconfigure monitoring, call-out and travel charges may apply.
The power system may continue operating normally while monitoring is offline.

Check the timestamp as well as the reading
A monitoring dashboard may show the last information received rather than the current condition of the equipment. Check when the data was last updated before interpreting a battery level or alarm. If the connection is offline, tell MyEnergy whether the property still has power and what the local display shows, if it is safely accessible.
When reporting a monitoring issue, include the platform name, the time updates stopped and any recent internet changes. Save a screenshot of the message. Avoid changing inverter or battery settings to fix a connectivity problem, and do not send account passwords in an initial support request.
