The MyEnergy team were out at Mahanewo Station earlier this year to upgrade the property's aging off-grid power system. Given the station's remote location, we designed and built the new system at our headquarters inside one of our largest steel cabinets. Fully tested and certified before leaving our workshop, the system was delivered to site ready for fast, efficient installation with minimal disruption. You can read more about Phase One of the project here.
This time, we were back for Phase Two, to deliver power to the station's brand-new Shearers Shed.
The Shearers Shed at Mahanewo plays a vital seasonal role, with electricity demands that peak during shearing and ease off outside of those busy periods. That meant our off-grid power design needed to handle fluctuating loads, delivering plenty of energy when shearing is in full swing, without wasting power the rest of the year.
We worked closely with the station during the early stages of Phase 1 to plan a smart, scalable off-grid power solution well before the Shearers Shed was built. By aligning the shed's future power needs with the original system design, we ensured this expansion would integrate seamlessly from the outset, functioning as one cohesive system, not a bolt-on afterthought.
MyEnergy planned the Shearers Shed as part of a broader, scalable off-grid power solution from day one, designing a system that meets seasonal shearing demands while continuing to support the property year-round. By thinking ahead and factoring the shed's needs into the original design, we avoided bolt-on fixes and delivered a streamlined system built to grow with the station. MyEnergy deliver smart, scalable systems that add lasting value to remote locations, built by a team that understands the challenges and gets the job done where others can't.
