Attunga Vineyard, part of the historic Kilikanoon Estate, is home to some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the Clare Valley. Located in Auburn, the property lies just beyond the grid’s reach, making an off-grid power solution essential for its operations.
Meeting the Vineyard’s Energy Needs
As the vineyard expands, a new shed was planned to support its growing operations. MyEnergy was approached early in the planning and construction phase to ensure a reliable off-grid power system was integrated into the design. During construction, a site visit was conducted to assess power requirements and implement an effective energy solution for this commercial vineyard.
A Scalable Off-Grid Solar System
With extensive experience designing complex energy solutions for the wine industry, MyEnergy created a fully scalable off-grid power system using Victron and Pylontech components. The power system was installed on a customised wall inside the newly built shed, with 36 solar panels mounted on the shed roof. The system includes four Pylontech US5000 batteries and the chosen cabinet allows for seamless expansion with up to six additional battery units, which would increase storage capacity by 28.8 kWh.

System Specifications

Designed for Future Growth
This expertly designed system is tailored to meet the unique energy demands of the vineyard and its agricultural operations. While fully capable of supporting current production, it is built with scalability in mind, ensuring that as the vineyard expands, its power supply can grow alongside it. MyEnergy specialises in designing off-grid power solutions for commercial properties in locations where the grid doesn’t reach, ensuring reliable and self-sufficient energy for years to come.
