Crescent is a remote community in South Australia's Riverland region with a population of just 200. The town has no access to grid power, with the nearest connection in Paringa, about 7 kilometres away. A reliable off-grid power system is essential for maintaining a comfortable and functional rural home in this location.
A Smart Off-Grid Solar System Solution
A property owner in Crescent reached out to MyEnergy early in the planning stages, sharing their building plans for a new off-grid home. This early contact allowed MyEnergy to design a tailored off-grid power system specifically to suit their energy needs, with project specifications and layout finalised well before construction began.
Seamless Installation with Thoughtful Planning
As the build moved forward, MyEnergy worked closely with the owner to confirm energy needs and finalise where the system would go. Planning ahead meant the off-grid power system was ready to run the home from day one and designed with future expansion in mind.
The final setup includes 40 Jinko solar panels installed across both the house and shed, along with seven ZYC SIMPO batteries to provide reliable energy storage for round-the-clock power. The system was neatly integrated into a custom-built wall inside the shed, while the Fronius Inverter Gen 24 was installed in the carport for easy access. This layout keeps everything protected, accessible and well-organised.
