MyEnergy Engineering designed and installed an off-grid power system for a remote property in Quorn, located in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. This system addresses the challenges of reliable power in an area with no grid connection.
The system features 21.12kW of solar panels, providing ample energy generation to meet the property’s needs. Paired with 28.5kWh of battery storage, it ensures reliable power for continuous operation, even during periods of low sunlight. The AC/DC-coupled design enhances efficiency and an air conditioning unit (which was also installed by our skilled electricians) maintains optimal temperature to ensure smooth performance.
A 10kVa diesel generator was installed at the rear of the property’s shed to provide a dependable backup during periods of high energy demand or prolonged cloudy weather, complementing the solar and battery system.
