Kangaroo Island’s remote beauty is well known and Penneshaw captures that essence perfectly with its stunning coastal views. While Kangaroo Island may seem idyllic, those who choose to build there face logistical challenges, particularly when it comes to securing reliable power. With limited ferry access, bringing trades and materials from the mainland can be both time-consuming and costly. Drawing from our experience with other installations on Kangaroo Island, we were well-prepared to tackle the unique demands of this project.
To minimise the need for lengthy on-site work, MyEnergy Engineering custom-built the system in one of our power system cabinets at MyEnergy HQ. Once completed, programmed and tested off-site, it was transported to the island for fast and efficient installation, perfectly timed with the ongoing construction of the new home.
The power system arrived with the MyEnergy team via ferry and is now housed in a newly constructed shed on the property. It features a Victron Quattro Inverter Charger 48/10000, Victron SmartSolar 450/200, and 14.4kWh Pylontech batteries, along with an 8.8kW solar array installed on the shed’s roof.
Our tailored approach to bringing power to remote locations highlights MyEnergy Engineering’s ability to deliver reliable, off-grid power solutions, even in the most logistically challenging environments. Our custom-built power system cabinets enable fast, efficient on-site installation with minimal disruption. This approach made the setup effortless and adds another successful power system to our growing list of projects across Kangaroo Island.
