Glenlyon is a small rural town near Daylesford, Victoria, known for its beautiful landscapes and tranquil country lifestyle. However, its remote location often results in unstable power supplies, creating a need for reliable and sustainable energy solutions.
MyEnergy Engineering recently designed and installed a standalone off-grid power system for a Glenlyon property with three dwellings. This tailored system design caters to the energy needs of two permanently occupied residences and a third, occasionally used dwelling.
The system features 50 solar panels, split between 30 ground-mounted and 20 roof-mounted. It also includes 8kW of AC coupling, enhancing efficiency and reducing the load on the DC side, ensuring reliable power during peak times. Designed with future-proofing in mind, the system allows for generator connection, adding extra security when needed.
Projects like this showcase MyEnergy’s expertise in delivering reliable, sustainable and scalable off-grid solutions. By blending technology with smart design, we provide power systems that meet today’s needs and are ready for future demands.
