Brukunga, a small town in the Adelaide Hills, is 40 kilometres east of Adelaide and near Nairne and Mount Barker. Surrounded by farmland and rolling hills, it offers a quiet rural setting with easy access to essential services. Once a mining hub, it is home to residential properties and small farms, appealing to those seeking country living with convenience.
Off-Grid Power for a New Flat
A property owner in Brukunga added a flat to their property and needed an independent power supply separate from the main home. The system had to be compact, fully self-sufficient and scalable for future energy needs. With modern amenities like air conditioning, reliability was essential. As no suitable roof space was available, an alternative solar mounting solution was required.
A Tailored Off-Grid System
MyEnergy designed and built a tailored off-grid power system housed in a vermin and weather-proof cabinet. Assembled and tested offsite at MyEnergy HQ, it was then installed beside the flat, protecting key components, including the inverter, charge controller, batteries and remote monitoring system With no suitable roof space, solar panels were ground-mounted for maximum sunlight exposure.
