Lake Eppalock Holiday Park, a serene getaway on the shores of Lake Eppalock in central Victoria, is a favourite destination for visitors seeking nature, outdoor adventures, and water sports. As the park expanded to meet growing demand, newly built cabins were added to accommodate more guests. However, the park’s grid connection was already maxed out, leaving no capacity to power these new facilities. A solution was needed to ensure the park could continue operating efficiently while providing guests with a comfortable and seamless experience.
The Challenge: Maxed-Out Grid Capacity
With the addition of new cabins, the park faced a critical issue: its existing grid connection couldn’t handle the increased energy demand. From powering essential services to running pool pumps, kiosks, and guest facilities, the park needed a reliable system to bridge the gap. The solution had to provide dependable power for the current setup and allow for future growth as the park continued to expand.
The Solution: A Flexible Off-Grid Power System
To solve the park’s power constraints, the MyEnergy Engineering team designed and installed a custom off-grid power system. This innovative setup features:
System Features:
14.08kW of Solar Panels
38kWh of Battery Storage
Generator Backup: Providing additional support during peak times or when solar production is low.
This system not only powers the new cabins but also provides additional capacity to ensure the entire park operates reliably, even during periods of high demand. Importantly, the system is designed for scalability, making it easy to expand as the park grows.
