A Farming Property in Need of Energy Independence
Sandergrove is just 9km south of Strathalbyn, a location that offers a peaceful rural setting with easy access to town. The property owners here needed a dependable, high-capacity system to support both their home and agricultural operations. With a newly constructed commercial-sized shed and expanding energy demands, MyEnergy was called upon to design a power system capable of handling daily operations while allowing room for future growth.
Meeting the Energy Demands of a Growing Farm
A reliable power system was essential to sustain not only the home but also the farm’s commercial-sized shed, which houses heavy-duty tools, farming equipment, and other agricultural necessities. The newly built shed increased the property’s power requirements, requiring a solution that could handle high-energy loads while ensuring uninterrupted power supply for all operations. The system had to be scalable, efficient and durable to support the farm’s evolving energy needs.
Poly-Phase to Three-Phase Power Setup
One of the challenges for the farm was the need to run three-phase equipment without a three-phase grid supply. To achieve this, MyEnergy implemented an inverter system to take the poly-phase to three-phase power configuration using Victron Quattro inverters. The system consists of five Victron Quattro 48/15000 inverters, configured in an arrangement that allows for three-phase output and calls on the polyphase supply like a generator when SOC is low. This setup ensures stable and balanced power delivery for the shed’s industrial-grade equipment, heavy-duty tools, and other critical machinery.

Power for the Farm’s Future
Designed and installed by the MyEnergy Team, this power solution ensures the property remains powered day and night, providing energy security for the home, large shed, and agricultural operations. The system’s expandable design means it can grow alongside the farm, accommodating increased energy needs as operations scale. With advanced monitoring, battery storage and a large solar array, this installation guarantees long-term, self-sufficient energy for the farm’s future.
