Coonawarra, located on South Australia’s Limestone Coast, is widely recognised for its premium wine production and strong agricultural roots. Known for its distinctive terra rossa soil, the region supports a mix of vineyards, local businesses, and rural properties that rely on consistent and dependable power to operate day to day.
MyEnergy delivered a commercial solar and battery solution tailored to these mixed-use demands, designed to integrate with the existing solar while increasing generation and adding battery storage for better energy management and backup. Twenty-eight new solar panels were installed using the Schletter roof mount system and integrated with two DEYE 10kW low voltage hybrid inverters. The system was split to suit the property’s layout, with one inverter supplying the general store and supporting café operations through the new panels and an existing west-facing panel array, while the second inverter is dedicated to the residence, utilising existing north-tilt panels to maintain consistent supply for the home.
51.2kWh of ZYC battery storage was installed across two ZYC SIMPO outdoor battery cabinets. This setup enables the property to maintain supply during peak demand periods and power interruptions, while also improving how solar energy is stored and used throughout the day.
This commercial solar and battery solution was built specifically for the Coonawarra General Store, designed to meet the unique demands of a mixed-use property. By integrating additional solar capacity with hybrid inverters and large-scale battery storage, the system supports refrigeration, café operations, and residential loads, while allowing for future expansion as energy needs grow. It delivers a dependable power supply suited to the day-to-day demands of the property. With extensive experience, MyEnergy designs systems around how each property operates, ensuring the right balance of generation, storage, and backup for reliable long-term performance.
